I grew up in the beautiful Hills District on the outskirts of Sydney, ‘owning’ horses constantly from the age of eight. They were my constant companions, and every afternoon was spent with them. I was so fortunate to live near miles of bush trails, which my horse and I explored in solitude. Through owning and riding some very excitable and difficult horses, ( and losing three tragically), I developed tenacity, problem solving capacity, and the necessity of facing fear,~ character strengths that have stayed with me through my life, and influenced my art enormously. I have more recently studied Natural Horsemanship and horse massage, through which I relate more closely to my own beautiful Paint Horse, Jack.

My dear husband Kerry, and my beautiful muse, Jack.
Professional Careers: On school leaving, my wish was to become a Jewellery designer, or an artist, but family insisted I was so empathetic that I should go Nursing. After two years of nursing I left and studied Horticulture, working as a Propagator at the largest Nursery in Sydney at the time. Then followed marriage, three beautiful children, and involvement in the arts at the Independent Rudolf Steiner School that my children attended. It is no coincidence that I worked with ill and dying people, then moved on to creating and nurturing little plant life, young children, and then launched into my art Career.
Motivation: Feelings we all share can be explored and expressed in art more directly than in any other way. Through my Nature art, I bring into vision emotions and attitudes that are usually considered exclusive to the human condition. For example, horses have no filter between what they feel and what they show to us, and this is what I love about them as artistic subjects. Drawing in fine Graphite is my first love, but I also create art in other media, including watercolour, Acrylic, coloured pencil, textile, clay, and embellished art. It is in collections around the world, having worked professionally as an artist since 1995.
Exhibitions: I have held Five successful solo exhibitions and been represented by galleries in three states. I placed 2nd in the 2003 International art award “Equitana Asia Pacific”, which was a Juried Award and drew entries worldwide. My art and story has been featured in such National magazines as "Australian Horseman", Australian Performance Horse’ "Hoofbeats", and "Russh".

I have completed over a two hundred private Commissions for Clients in the past five years.
My equine art shown below, placed first in the Drawing section at the Orange Blossom Festival at Castle Hill 2005 & 2006.
